Kathryn Atkins matches her love for writing with her MBA as a professional business writer and owner of Writing World. But her heart beats through the short stories, poems, and music that fill her collection Giving My Self to the Wind (2017) and memoir, My Piano Hands (2020). Lynnette Beers has an MFA in fiction and teaches literature and writing at a local community college. She’s currently working on her fifth novel—a historical romance set in Hawaii in the mid-1940s. When she writes her novels, she tries to immerse herself in the locations where her books take place—be it London, Hawaii, San Diego, or Southern Mississippi. After Michele Kwasniewski graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in Technical Theater, she spent over fifteen years in film and television production. She worked as a set production assistant on movies such as INDEPENDENCE DAY, FACE/OFF, PRIMAL FEAR, and EVITA and as a production coordinator/manager on many TCL, HGTV, and Discovery series including: MEET THE PANDAS, ADOPTION STORY, WEDDING STORY, and EXTR YARDAGE and BIG BROTHER. She is also a proud member of the Producers Guild of America. Michele's colorful experiences in the industry inspired her to write THE RISE AND FALL OF DANI TRUEHART series. Lani Kauten grew up in Concord, CA, around a tight knit athletic family. Ice skating was their common interest. Her love for the sport and storytelling inspired her to write "Breaking Summer," her first novel. It's about a fifteen-year-old ice skater who struggles with the family's athletic legacy and the thrill and responsibilities of adolescent issues, conflicts, and choices. Anne Moose is a technical-writer-turned-novelist with a background in small book publishing and a degree in Social/Cultural Anthology from UC Berkeley. Since turning her attention back to creative writing, she has contributed to a number of writing anthologies, including It’s All in the Story, edited by DP Lyle. Her debut novel, Arkansas Summer, is an inter-racial love story that shines a spotlight on the violent white supremacy of the Jim Crow South. Matthew Arnold Stern is a Southern California native who grew up in Reseda and lives in Orange County. Matthew’s 2019 novel Amiga is based on his experiences in the computer industry in the 1980s. His upcoming novel, The Remainders, will be published by Black Rose Writing in September 2021. He earned awards for his writing and public speaking, including Distinguished Toastmaster and an Award of Excellence from the International Online Communications Competition. Dennis Walsh is a retired healthcare executive who has lived in South Laguna Beach for 20 years. He writes what he calls ‘good airplane reads’ that concentrate on the characters and current issues helped along with a liberal dose of humor.
